I FEEL IT COMING

A little over 5 years ago, a story was told of a motivational Speaker, named John Stone On this fateful day, he was invited to dish out a motivational meal for the graduating students... The day came to reality, he dressed up looking stunning in his jacket with a touch of sky blue—John had been known with his black big briefcase where he houses his apple laptop and a magical pen This time, Stone proved everybody wrong except himself — he squared up his shoulders and confidently walking tall into the hall, like a ready pen in the hands of an impetuous writer Stone, “an embodiment of motivation” descended into a human body Stone had just one white broad cardboard folded in his hands with an inscription that reads “IMPOSSIBILITY” He widely spreads the white cardboard and asked the graduating students, what did they see on the cardboard and they all chorused “IMPOSSIBILITY” He asked over and over again, all they could chorus is “IMPOSSIBILITY” The graduating students were confidently expec...

MY INDEFATIGABLE DEFENDER!

Light off, feet stumbled, and what else?... All I could explain was staggering, panting, and sweating profusely right there in the dark pit… The beast roared like a lion and I was trembling right there in the dark pit... Where to turn was the music I found arduous to assimilate its lyrics The end has come was the statement I silently muttered to myself… Beaten, trampled, and severely injured like a notorious criminal; the one explained in the scripture I knew it, I was gradually losing my breath and calamity was already building an indelible temple on my innocent body — very far from serenity Ocean of tears was pulling their ferocious stunts on my eyes... I knew an end has come and it was crystal clear to me that, that was the only chance for me to say my last prayer... As usual, the beast gave another scary roar to my ears and that roar got my feet shaking... The Lord is shepherd I shall not want was the verse I couldn't recite— my heart was gripped with fear! I failed too, to re...

“Severally I've heard people quoting that, “the downfall of a man is not the end of his life” I stand to be corrected, that truism is subjected to the man's acceptability In other words, the downfall of a man could lead his soul to the gate of extinction, if he refuses to bounce back By extension, I remember coming across two eye-opening maxim while surfing the internet today “It's on “you” to get “you” where “you” wanna be” Biblically speaking, it wasn't in the manifesto of God to angrily chase our first mother and father out of the captivating garden of Eden— They chose their ugly path through stark disobedience Their hands were twisted into turning their glorious destinies into a fiasco Through their actions, they dented the spotless image of God's promises They were already ruling as a king and a queen before the cunny serpent poisoned their everlasting meal of Destiny— having received a red-flagged warning by God With their hands, they thwarted the flourishing ...

UPSIDE DOWN

Turn the script upside down, the scriptwriter commanded. As simple as it sounds, that statement triggered up some memories and got me thinking... My name is M.r Godwin Martins, I hailed from the eastern part of Nigeria At the age of 24, I was already snowballing in riches and visibly registered  mouth-watering properties to my name, not only in Nigeria but also in the diaspora I was living a life labeled with many titles— spick and span, the youngest billionaire of our time, and on like that. Things were moving smoothly fine like the fresh surface of the sky... At the age of 27, I had an encounter with Christ, and that marked a big difference in my life, I began to picture life differently, I must say this, I was galvanizing under the indefatigable wings of Christ Like a tree planted by the riverside and is constitutionally commanded to flourish in its season, so was the exact description of my life Jesus is sweet ooo, that was the song I composed because accepting Christ into my life ...

It took me years to perfectly understand the instrumentalism of success, I have always been believing that I could achieve things all by myself, of course, I wouldn't shy away from the fact that everyone should strive to be an individualist To a great extent, to be an individualist is one of the core goals, a goal-getter must develop himself to be if he desires to strive beyond the principle of “going-concern and entity concept”— I know that won't be a tedious task for an accounting student to assimilate I also remember a course well taken by one of my quick-witted lecturers, Mr. Omolewu; the course titled Principles of Cooperative Society and that was so many years ago. In his hand-out, he clearly defined cooperative society as a society whose effort is geared towards achieving what is individually impossible for its members And also, you will equally agree with me that, “a tree can not make a forest” “The power of a forest is not in one, it is inseparably connected” The chirp...

The questions I wish I could answer

Her soul was escaping, the next thing she could do was to jump up from her sickbed and said I am healed, baby… Hearing that coming from her mouth spurred my heart into infectious laughter; she was more than what she could imagine, I would love to call her a goddess I knew that was a miracle, I stood up counting a few steps away to the doctor's office, flashing my mind to the said prayers I muttered on the altar and I concluded God must have answered “my most precious prayer” Before I dashed a knock to the doctor's door, I heard her kid sister screaming somebody help For the very first time in my life, I broke protocols; there was an inscription boldly written on the doctor's door, the rule was staring at me, stating, “knock before you enter” I intentionally failed to knock, I broke in and ranted with tears swimming on my face, using my face as its base “ Doctor, please help me, my future is dying” We fled out like two notorious criminals escaping from the prison—it was like...
