A GAMBLED LIFE
I wish I could be given a chance again, possibly to start from the beginning, that was the statement publicly uttered by Michael Cypher, an old man who recently clocked 86 years.
Before he ended his speech, he was dishing out, live on TV, tears had already laced themselves on his face to express the pain he felt deep down his heart reflecting on his old wrinkled face
He said, he could remember those times things were doing fine with his star
Those times he thought he had "time" to himself, he thought he was enjoying life, not knowing he was wasting his most precious time away
He couldn't believe the reality he eventually accepted, those times he was gambling his life away, thinking he was enjoying
He said it with a faded voice, now he wishes he could start all over again or there is a kind of power to be reborn but it's a pity to say, it is just impossible
He recalled there was a time he had all to himself; the strength, the opportunities, the beauty, and the connection
What did he do? He carelessly blew them away like the spray of perfume
Those years, time expected him to pay a priceless sacrifice but he couldn't pay
Living life as it comes
The future is what we truly don't know because it is in the hands of our creator
I stand corrected, what we do now has a strong influence on our future
The attitude you couldn't fight and defeat now is ready to defeat you
Pride, sycophantic habit, lavish spender, ego and so on will only land you on the other side of the road tagged, " had I know"
I hope your life will not end like that of Michael Cypher, who has now turned old
He desires to run now but he couldn't do that again
His tears will only be a lesson to others, no longer a lesson for him, it will be an endless pain to him
Every opportunity dancing to your way should be treated like another one may not come and of course, that is why it is called opportunities
What do you do to those opportunities?
Don't gamble your life away, they are as costly as your destiny
They can't be replaced, don't be misguided by the world, be directed by the principles of your destiny
I hope this message will not just pass away
I love you
