Should I be scared of the life that could be lost with a strike of a tiger in the jungle?
Should I be down to my feet before the scary figure of the king of the jungle, permit me to call him Mr. Lion?
I have heard of how my friend, "The Mighty Jagunmade" with six-packs lost his priceless soul inside the den of a lion, in the dreadful jungle of Jahujahula.
Can I forget how King Ikudaisi, the former king of Ayekoto sacrificed his life for the continuity of peace and development of his dear Village?.
The story was not completely expressed back then, a reliable report later revealed that his living body was actually thrown into the dreadful jungle of Jahujahula, the land of the dead.
I am here wondering, that the jungle must definitely be a land of the beasts.
Can we possibly have a report that can sum up the number of lives that might have walked through the dreadful ancient gate of Jahujahula and how many lives have narrowly escaped the dreadful encounter of the Jungle?
The last time I checked, I am the only son of the Ikudoro family, Gbadegesin.
I will not allow that name "Ikudoro" to play a negative role on the scene of my destiny.
I think it's high time I changed that name, it sounds so dreadful, how could a family chose Ikudoro as their name.
I must admit, my life has already ended even before it started.
How can I journey to a jungle where flesh, blood, and bones of men serve as food and wine for the beasts dwelling inside the jungle of Jahujahula.
How can I journey to a jungle where animals lick the blood of men like ice cream, a place where the flesh of men tastes so sweet like a freshly roasted suya made by one Hausa guy?
I wasn't born to be scared but this is a journey that has claimed many lives and still counting.
Saving Adegeye, the only son of the king would truly earn me more than a credit, it would definitely earn my family an endless fortune.
Maybe I could even find the means to free my childhood friend who has been dwelling in the prison for years because he slapped Akingbade, the first son of Chief Akinlade in a fight.
The king also said that whosoever that journeys to the jungle of the dead and successfully pluck some ikugbayila leaves that are placed around the lion den in the jungle of jahujahula will be handsomely rewarded and whatsoever the person asked shall be immediately granted, no matter how big that thing is.
Everybody in the village knows how potent Ikugbayila leaves are, my late father had the chance to detail me on the efficacy of the leaves, the leaves should be called "Awibejebe" he told me how the leaves saved a number of lives.
He as well told me, the leaves are answers to all things a man could ever dream of, it is a kind of destiny changer leaf, it is capable of earning men riches of this world.
All these thoughts kept me awake throughout the night but I don't want to die but I have been divinely chosen by the oracle to ride on this deadly mission that has claimed a number of lives.
In a nutshell, I made up my mind to go on this quest, in an attempt to save the life of the dying prince , I also see this as an opportunity to free my childhood friend who has been thrown in the prison for years and this could possibly break my family from the shackles of poverty.
The day came to reality after I have been powerfully fortified by Oluawo, the most powerful man of Ayekoto Village.
I guess this must have given me a kind of confidence but it didn't, because many that have died were as well powerfully fortified by this same old man.
I was given instructions to be followed by Oluawo and he said if I can keep to these instructions that I could possibly return home with the antidote(ikugbayila leaves).
He as well stated that my return does not mean I will return home exactly the way I would go.
You might possibly lose one of your ears, eyes or any other part of your body on this god forsaking journey.
The old man scared me, this time my faith was found shaking and I felt like giving up but, I couldn't give up again because I have drunk the water of the gods which was a covenant one.
This means even If I decide not to go I will be struck dead by the thunder after seven days of staying in the village.
Now I have no choice than to embark on this dreadful mission that is determined to deliver me into the arms of the dead.
These are the instructions stated by Oluawo;
1. It will take you seven days to reach the dreadful jungle of Jahujahula, you must deny yourself of the water you will be offered on the journey.
2. You will be tempted by beautiful demons on your way, you must be strong enough, not to fall into such temptation.
3. You must not cry, human tears summon the spirit of Shalushalula and their single touch could turn men into stones, their spirits are seven in numbers and they are not active if they are not completely united.
4. You must not reveal your true identity to anyone you encounter on your way until you reach the ancient gate of Jahujahula Jungle.
5. You must not be tempted and take the valuable substance on your way if you do this, your spirit will be trapped and wander in the jungle of the jahujahula till the end of the world, your spirit will be restless, you will continually be chased by the ancient beast of Jahujahula, whose name is Ajikulaja
6. You must not talk to anyone until you reach the ancient gate of Jahujahula
7. Don't allow anyone to take away the journey map you will be given before you embark on a journey
If you keep all this, your chance of victory is 50percent.
The journey begins, this is a journey that is scarier than death itself.
If this journey was a boxing mission, I would have traveled to meet Anthony Joshua, he would have taught me some boxing skills but it's a pity to my life, this is a fight challenge with the ancient beasts ruling the mighty scary jungle of Jahujahula where beasts and dangerous animals of the jungle dwell and terrorize.
I said to myself even if I will die I will die honorably and will be remembered in my generation that I fought a good fight.
The first two days of my journey to the jungle almost cost me my life, this time my soul is gradually departing from my tired body, if my life is measured in percentage, I must confess it must have remained 15% before it will be completely launched to the realm of the dead.
The instructions given to me are ringing in my head and I was doing all I could to strictly adhere to the instructions.
On the journey, I became thirsty after taking all the water I put inside my journey bag, my body is thirsty for water and I decided to sip a little portion of water I found inside one big calabash on the floor, as I was about to do that, I quickly remembered one of the instructions and I felt like crying, then I remember another instruction given.
On the fourth day of the journey I was a, already praying for return and of course, I know this will be practically impossible.
Day stretched their arms into the night, I decided to rest my head besides a giant looking tree, then I was hearing all manners of horrific sounds that were scarier than the one in all those traditional movies like "Eran Iya Oshogbo" mixed with the scary and roaring sound of the beasts, lions, lioness and other dangerous animals.
I was already praying for an honorable death, I don't pray to be eaten by millions of animals but I wouldn't mind being eaten by the king of the jungle, I think I will be cool with that, I concluded.
Finally, I was cited by a Monkey that called for the attention of other animals in the jungle, now a marathon race began, imagine being chased by different kind of animals that could deliver you to the realm of the dead with a strike, tell me how would you run for your dear life and will you be saved?
All of a sudden, a tall giant man suddenly appeared in the jungle and every other creature became silent and halted.
when my flesh and blood was about to be eaten and licked, he walked straight to me and stretched his hand to me, I couldn't raise my head to completely view his full stature, he instantly became my hero.
This time, I have someone who is ready to take a bullet for my sake, someone I thought he wasn't aware of my arrival in the jungle suddenly showed on.
He held my hand and took me out from the horrible sight of the dreadful and giant beasts.
He sat me down and was about to give me water, I remember I have been warned not to taste even a little portion of water except the one I put inside my journey bag and I have already drunk all the water.
He smiled and said it is well and you are in safe hands, he handed me a bottle of water which I drank off within 6 seconds.
He said, now you will return to your village,ur king that if they accept me as their Lord and personal savior, it shall be well with the entire people in the village.
He breathed into my hands and told me that when I get home, I should lay my hands on the forehead of the dying prince that his departing soul will be called out from the underworld and he will instantly rise to his feet.
I furtherly asked how would they believe me, he said he owns the hearts of the kings and chiefs.
He laid his hand on me and I was baptized with the Holy Spirit.
It was like a film trick, I guess I slept in the jungle but to my belief, when I woke up, I found my body beside the stream water of Ayekoto.
I woke up and was cited by the villagers, which brought about heavy celebration all around the village, my arrival back to the village brought about a glowing excitement to the village.
As he commanded me to do, I laid my hand on the dying prince and his soul returned instantly to his body.
Echoes of joy were blown like the sound of the trumpet in the palace, it traveled to the nooks and crannies of the village and everyone gave their lives to Jesus Christ, even people from other villages gave theirs too.
Life is a living hell without Jesus.
Give your life to Jesus and every storm in your life will be calmed.
