A MESSAGE FROM AN OLD WHITE FRIEND
Failing to appreciate the greatness of God in our lives will definitely make me an ingrate and also fail to appreciate Professor Kingsley for helping me through the letter he sent to me on my graduation will still make me an ingrate.
Professor Kingsley took me as his friend, he was so humble and talked to me like mates, he was a definition of humility and discipline.
My course mates had countlessly asked me how I got the heart of Professor Kingsley, at a point, people began to think, maybe we are related.
Are we? far from it...
Those messages in his letter, really worked like magic in my life, those words guide me through in my journey in this the world.
Kindly permit me to reflect on those written words by Professor Kingsley, it goes thus...
Dear Peter,
How are you? I am glad you made it and I want you to take a seat and digest every written in this letter.
Maturity is the ability to understand the level of other maturities
You understand the fact that they are young and they sometimes need to get their hearts broken in order to learn how to use 70% of their brains and 30% of their hearts
So no amount of sermons you preach, they wouldn't understand that relationship is not meant to be flaunted everywhere they go, that is a call of maturity
You understand the fact that some people wouldn't learn their lessons until they are learned in the hardest way
You understand the fact that some people wouldn't learn their lessons until their lives become a grievous set pace for others to learn from
You understand the fact that they would always think they are smarter than others when their balls are moving whereas the game has not ended
You will leave them to understand the fact that not every meat should be eaten, even if they are sweet
You will leave them to understand the fact that freedom also has rules and limitations
You will leave them to understand the difference between tears and laughter
You will leave them to understand the difference between assets and liabilities
You will leave them to find answers to what rocks home better, is its beauty or character
You will leave them to find answers to know who truly cares as time passes by or who will be a memory of pain to reflect on till eternity
You will leave them to find answers to know who will come around to play with your bright sky and those who will fade away when your sky temporarily runs out of stars
You will leave them to fish out the true meaning of love
You will leave them to fish out fun and fire
You will leave them to fish out the difference between seminars and clubbing
You will leave them to understand the differences between wealth and poverty
You will leave them to understand the difference between swags and virtues
Until they find the answers, their heads may still be incorrect
I hope things wouldn't have gone worse before they understand?
That I can't say🤔🤔🤔
Peter Frank, you are one of my best students, be disciplined and never allow the storm of this youthful life, to land you on the path of destruction, where all that will be said is regrets.
Wish you success in your chosen career.
Yours Faithfully
Professor John Kingsley
I love you and I will miss you friend
