A BROKEN SHELL


Sitting here, looking so tired like someone who just finished covering unbelievable miles

Of course, I knew it will take more than training for Joshua to claim back his title from the hands of Ruiz, a skillful boxer

It must have taken him a pint of intelligence, courage too wouldn't be found wanting, as one of the formulae he used to get himself crowned as the champion

I wouldn't forget to express a take-home lesson I learned from my late father



I could vividly remember a particular time, when sickness nearly took his life, as a matter of fact, everyone had given up on him, except my mother, who stood with him, in the thick and thin of his life

A promotion exam came on board while he was still being terrorized by the power of sickness

The examination was a "push-up" or "pull-down" for him

I really found it hard to explain how my father got that unusual strength

Eventually, my father was wheeled down to the venue of the examination

To my amazement, my father didn't just write the examination, he aced it


Two months after, he was back on his feet and became the director of special duties in secretariat Ibadan


That action was a great encounter that has been keeping me going in life, in spite of trials and temptations of life

Sickness nearly took him  out of the race of life

He broke out of the shell of sicknesses and acted like a man with no issue


Nothing can stop a man of great determination, even he can not be stopped by himself


The greatness of a man lies in his ability to break out of his shell
