Misplaced Priorities

What a pity! I thought I was getting it right and now I know I have gotten it all wrong... How I wish I could turn the hands of time so that I could be able to right my wrongs, edit my errors and takes every single step with carefulness How I wish I could talk to my past, if possible I could start all over again… Now there is raging fire on my mountain top, when I had the water to quench the fire I was busy pouring out my water... Every single step we take in life, of course, has a role to play on the board of our future... In other words, taking the wrong step is capable of denting the image of a glorious future… “A dog that will miss its way, will fail to listen to the whistle of the hunter...” “The input we gave into our yesterday is the output we have to deal with today...” “The seed we refused to plant yesterday is the single reason we have our lands covered weeds(unwanted particles)” “Priorities misplaced is a destiny misplaced...” When we were younger, we knew so little and now that we are getting older, life didn't fail to teach us amazing lessons we could trace down to our mistakes... I could remember that day, my mom told me to get something inside her wardrobe, lo and behold, the moment I opened her wardrobe, it was filled up with used and trending native outfits This is a stupid African mentality where many believe attending social functions is highly compulsory And this is one of the reasons, many African women are poor because of that old stinking mentality and guess what, the ladies of today's world have as well inculcated that poverty-striking mentality... ...To the guys... Marking of birthdays is not done to impress, it is to appreciate God for adding another year to your existing years You don't have to empty your account because you are marking “your birthday” It is crazy and barbaric if you are known for such... Most of the problems we are facing today were not caused by any witch or wizard in our family, they are caused by our extravagant lifestyle... Excessive storage of clothes and accessories will birth you nothing than liabilities Be selective in choosing nice and decent cloths and use your money for other things...* Tell me, what is the essence of holding I phone 8 and you barely have #10,000 in your account, don't you think that is lack of senses? Tell me, what is the essence of buying expensive wears and your foodstuffs are running out? “We don't live for today, we live for tomorrow” We are the bane of our own problem We don't set things right and that explains it all... We buy what we don't need and later struggle to buy what is essential It is high time, we stopped this old stinking African trait, we inherited from our parents You don't have enough to buy something, don't buy it… You don't have much to mark your birthday, don't place unnecessary burden on yourself... Set your priorities right! I love you.
